Ah yes…procession to the Apetorku shrine in Dagbamete. Traditional religion is strong in Ghana and this village is home to a very popular and powerful shrine to the spirit Apetorku who heals and protects people. Yearly, a major festival of renewal and cleansing occurs and thousands of people flock to this little village of a few hundred people. This shot is taken as the crowd makes its way to the shrine itself.
