Prayer flags (and Tibetan Buddhism) are ubiquitous in Sikkim. In this town, located in the hills, almost every house and building had this type of vertical flag which have different prayers inscribed upon them. The wind blows over them and carries the prayers around the surrounding land and its inhabitants.
